Data We Collect

When you use Talea, we collect: account information (name, email), files you upload (receipts, invoices, bank statements), conversation messages with experts, and usage data (page views, feature usage).

How We Use Your Data

Your accounting data is used to operate the expert services you hire. Privacy-safe product analytics help us understand and improve Talea. Analytics is enabled by default, but you can opt out at any time. We do not sell your data. We do not use your data to train AI models. Each workspace is isolated — your data is not visible to other tenants.

Storage and Encryption

Files are encrypted at rest (AES-256) and in transit (TLS 1.3). Accounting records use our configured service infrastructure. Product analytics is processed separately by PostHog in the United States. Database backups are encrypted and retained for 30 days.

Third Parties

We use infrastructure, storage, payment, and AI service providers to operate Talea. The current sub-processors, their purposes, and the data categories they receive are listed on our Security page. We do not share your accounting documents or financial values with advertising or analytics providers. PostHog receives limited product usage events, pseudonymous identifiers, cleaned page routes and campaign attribution, and connection information such as browser and device details, IP address and approximate location inferred from it. PostHog may process this information outside Singapore. Analytics does not include session recordings, uploaded contents, filenames, company names, financial values, or email addresses.

Product Analytics

Privacy-safe product analytics is enabled by default and never affects bookkeeping or account access. You can change this browser’s choice below; opting out stops future collection and clears local analytics identifiers. Previously collected events are not automatically deleted by opting out. Contact us for access or deletion requests.

Data Retention

Your data is retained while your account is active. A workspace owner can export or permanently delete an Accounting Expert engagement from Workspace settings. The purge removes engagement database records and stored files, revokes connected-source credentials, stops matching transient runtime sessions, and retains a minimal audit tombstone for proof and retry. For account closure, access, correction, or another data request, email privacy@maestro.onl. Data subject to applicable legal or operational retention obligations remains limited to those purposes.

PDPA Compliance

Talea complies with the Singapore Personal Data Protection Act (PDPA). You have the right to access, correct, and withdraw consent for processing of your personal data.
